X.509v3 Certificate Processing

X.509v3 defines the syntax for public key certificates that is used by SET. The responsibility for processing X.509 is divided between the crypto and SET protocol modules. The crypto module handles the subset of X.509v3 that is common to all variants of X.509, which is essentially the subset defined in X.509v1. X.509v3 extensions, which are profiled explicitly in the SET specification, are the responsibility of the SET protocol module.
